Matis signs agreement on the operation of a NRL.
On Friday, July 3rd, the Ministry of Industries and Innovation and Matis signed an agreement on the operation of a national reference laboratory (NRL) in accordance with the laws and regulations. According to the agreement, Matis operates NRL in seven sectors.
Reference laboratories in the country work in cooperation with other reference laboratories in the European Economic Area. The main role of these labs are diverse and include, among other things, the coordination of activities of the designated public research in each country. This includes advice and guidance on measurement methods, participation in the development and verification of measuring methods and the organization of comparative testing, inform the designated laboratories in the operation range of comparative tests monitoring the performance of labs and offer help or practices under specific processes for cause. As well, they share knowledge and information from foreign reference labs to reference labs in the country, which accredits the competent authorities of scientific and technical support.
These reference laboratories are multifunctional and can meet the diverse needs of customers with a broad range of accredited measuring methods. They are connected with foreign laboratories and can provide service through the international connections.
