Based on the MoU signed by the United Nations University-Fisheries Training Programme and the Nha Trang University (NTU), dated 30th May 2013, Matís and the Faculty of Food Technology at Nha Trang University agree to enter into a cooperation activities during the term of five years (2013-2018).
Faculty of Food Technology at NTU was established in Vietnam in 1959. With more than 50-years experiences in research and training, Factulty of Food Technology has trained more than 5000 engineers, more than 1000 bachelors and hundreds of technical workers in the field of Seafoo Processing Technology and Food Technology. NTU is working at more than 300 companies in the whole county and have a significant contribution to the development of Vietnam‘s food and fisheries sector.
Faculty of Food Technology has about 60 employees, of which 90% have M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees. Many of them have graduated from Japan, France, Iceland, Norway, Australia, Russia etc. Currently, faculty of Food Technology is hosting over 3000 students at all training levels, from technical training level to doctoral level.
