Matís, in cooperation with Akvaplan-niva in Iceland, has conducted a series of feed composition and feed quality trials on turbot.
Overall, the findings demonstrate that it is possible to lower production costs in turbot aquaculture by altering the composition of the feed, without any negative effect on growth or fish quality. With today´s raw material costs the findings demonstrate that is possible to lower production costs by 15-20% by applying the new feed composition.
